Vasiliki Kosta

Vasiliki Kosta is interested in EU fundamental rights and more generally in "horizontal" institutional and constitutional issues encompassing the various different policy fields of EU law.

In Dutch

She focuses on the substantive protection of EU fundamental rights in various EU policy fields, and in particular the tension between these fundamental rights and the internal market, ex ante fundamental rights protection mechanisms in the EU, the principle of proportionality, and the relationship between the EU and the ECHR. Her current research focus is on academic freedom. Within The Young Academy, she intends working particularly on increasing and implementing opportunities for collaboration between the arts and sciences.
